Welcome Home

Well, with the help of my awesome sister in law Heather, we have signed a lease on this house. To be quite honest, finding a place to live in San Diego was a lot harder than we anticipated. We drove all around the city, including Chula Vista. We had absolutely no luck finding a place that was both convinient to downtown, and family friendly. One place was on Dictionary Hill, with an incredible view of downtown, the ocean, and Tiajuana. Yes, you could see Mexico from that house. The guy that owns it was hoping Dave and I would rent. He even brought the rental price down $300 and threw in a plasma screen tv, surround sound, and a tredmill. ha ha ha. The house itself was cool, but not a place where Matthew would be safe crawling around, and learning to walk. So all of that took place on Monday. Then Tuesday morning, I get a call from Aunt Carla, who sounds like she had been hit by a truck. They had a 4 day wedding going on at their house, and she must've been tired. But, instead of resting, she wanted to take us out to find a good area to live. I don't know how she did it, but she actually convinced Dave, we need to live in Rancho Penasquitos. So, after looking at many many houses, and apartments, we found this beauty. The yard is very nice and green. Its a 3 or 4 bed house (depends on what you do with the 4th room) and 2 bath. New paint, carpet, tile, and bathrooms. We live 5 min from Carla, Paul and the rest of the McMullin bunch. We also live in PQ1st ward, which aparrently has a lot of young couples. We really hated to make such a hasty decision, but with only having a week to pack, we didn't have much choice. So, now, COME VISIT!

Congrats - I am so jealous of your location! Having been to Paul and Carla's I know it must be a nice area. We will have to come over to visit. Only if you want two extra adults and two extra kids around :)

Sounds awesome and I think you will enjoy being there. You are still close to everything and Dave will learn to love his commute. The next time we are in SD, we'll have to stop by.

That house looks awesome. We will definitely have to come visit. I wish we could come this summer but I don't think that'll happen anymore. Maybe next summer our lives will be back to normal again!
