this is my poor sweet little matthew this morning, sick, with the flu! It has been quite a night! Yesterday morning, we took him to the Pediatrition because he had thrown up all of his formula. He prescribed Pedialyte. I had been giving it to him, when all of a sudden, he throws it up! I start to freak out because my little man is so sick at such a young age! I called the Pedi. again, and he said go to the er. So I did. We were there for 4 hrs, and in that time, he was able to hold down 4 oz of formula. The dr. there told us he is borderline dehydrated, but to keep doing what I was, and he'll get better. Matthew slept from 9pm to 12 am. I gave him another oz of formula and guess what??? He puked it up. I've been nursing him back to health with pedialyte, which he is able to hold down. He's had 4 oz of formula in a 2 hr span, and is so far holding it. It breaks my heart to see him like this! I hope he get better soon!!!!!

Hey Stephanie! When Alyssa was sick like this, we just concentrated on giving her one to two ounces each hour. Even if she was willing to take more, we held off and kept it in very small increments. When we finally started rationing it like that, she made drastic improvements. It did make for even more sleepless nights, but it was worth it.
Dang, poor little guy! And poor you. We are thinking about you and praying for you guys.
