My son has a bad case of the Terrible Two's. It starts the moment he wakes up in the morning, to the moment he goes to bed at night. Crying, fussing, screaming, yelling.... does anyone have some suggestions? I try ignoring him, holding him (yeah right!), hugging him, feeding him, sleeping him, but nothing has worked. The only time he is happy is if we are out and about running errands. The baby sitter says he's happy all the time, and never fusses. I think thats because there are other kids there to entertain him. At home its just me.. wow... I must be SO boring! So, any help?

Hmmm....that is a hard one. I seem to remember putting Grant in his crib a lot when he acted like that. That would help him calm down sometimes. He is probably just frustrated with his communication abilities right now. I would say be consistent on whatever you do and know that it will not last forever! Good luck.
The answer is to have another baby!
I KNEW you'd say that!!!!
Logan screamed a ton until I taught him Sign Language. Now he just screams for fun, but the frustration behind the screams is gone. He just thinks that it is fun! We used the discipline book, 123 magic, with Alyssa. Our time out place was in a playpen in my room.
Courtney is also starting to act up. She likes to scream (very high-pitched) if I don't do exactly what she wanted or fast enough. I have been teaching her sign language and I think it is helping. This is a hard time because kids Matthew and Courtney's age understand just about everything, but can't communicate very well. I just went to the library and checked out their "Signing Time" series on dvd. Courtney LOVES them, and they teach us both the signs.
I think it is hard with just one kid. We are in the same boat - hang in there!
I am sure Stanley would love to come visit!
